Second year Sports Journalism student Josh McAllister was delighted to gain media accreditation to cover the Super League clash between Wigan Warriors and Widnes Vikings at the DW Stadium.
Rugby league fan Josh braved the bitterly cold weather and overcame train delays to take his seat in the press box for the first time where he reported on the fourth round fixture.
Widnes scored the first try of the evening and held on to lead at half-time. But the home side and 2016 Super League champions completed a second half comeback with tries from Joe Burgess, Thomas Leuluai, Ryan Sutton, Liam Farrell Sam Tomkins and Tom Davies.
Great experience today. Despite the cold, loved reporting the game and good to get in the press conference at the end. pic.twitter.com/SDoqXSGlrK
