After a series of accidents have recently been reported involving drivers over the age of 70, BA Journalism student Olivia Gordon asks whether the elderly should have to retake their driving tests.
Second year Olivia speaks to driving instructor Ron Jones who regularly takes people over 60 for tests and believes it would be unjust to remove those of an older age from the road.
However, Alan Robinson, the chairman of an elderly home in Chester, tells Olivia the elderly need to retake the modern driving test.
According to 73-year-old driver Barry Seale, age should not stand as a barrier so long as drivers are respectful of each other.
