WATCH: Bosu Body Bar helping the homeless

Food wastage is a massive problem in the UK with an estimated 7 million tonnes of food and drink being thrown from our homes every year.

One street food shop has had enough. The Bosu body bar in Manchester believes it only makes sense to give the leftover food to those who need it the most.

The ‘Bosu Project’ started after they had overstocked one Christmas so decided the surplus food could then go to the less fortunate.

Two years later, the project is thriving with generous people also donating spare clothes and sleeping equipment to the homeless.

Final year TV Production and Journalism student Courtney Andrews went to see the excellent work being done at the Bosu Project.
