LOCKDOWN is OUT

A unique one-off magazine produced by University of Chester students is out now.

Featuring advice, articles, opinion pieces, music reviews, poetry, prose, and art, LOCKDOWN magazine is designed to reflect how Chester students are coping with Covid-19.

It is now available to read for free on ISSUU.

LOCKDOWN magazine, a reflection of student lives during the pandemic, was pulled together in a matter of weeks by BA Journalism and BA Music Journalism first years, with the support of MA Journalism students who stepped in to write articles and sub-edit.

Dr Rhian Waller, programme leader for Journalism, said: “Our students worked remarkably hard to put this project together in a short time.

“To bring out a 40-plus glossy magazine in just one month, from scratch, is a big ask even for an experienced production team, quite aside from the pressures placed on us by the Coronavirus lockdown.

“I am incredibly proud of them, and of all the students from across the university who submitted materials. None of this would have been possible without them.”
