Part of the PERCEPTION 2020 series. Digital photography students at the University of Chester responded to a challenge to respond to the theme of perception.
Work and words by Natalia Mroz.

When I was child, the world appeared very different.
The light was different, the speed of the passage of time was different, and everyday objects that now seem dull and static were the building blocks of a magical world filled with new experiences.

Children experience the world in its purest form, engaging all of their senses without the distortion of interpretation nor the search for meaning which emerges throughout the teenage years and into adulthood.

The aim of these images is to remind viewers of their own childhood, how objects looked from the point of view of their younger self, the hard to reach shelves and cupboards, the infinite number of surfaces to draw on.
