It was business as usual on December 19 when Lewis Hamilton was crowned no1 at the Formula One World Championships for the 7th time.
But new regulations, due to come in to play in 2022, may change the shape of the prestige motor racing.
After a hard-earned victory in wet conditions, Lewis proved his mettle and rightly deserved to claim his seventh world championship.
He now equals the record of Michael Schumacher, and he shows no signs of slowing down.
However, the FIA’s plans to make racing more competitive and fairer have sped-up and as we draw closer to the 2022 season, the proposed regulation changes begin to scratch at the door.
Will these regulations end the spell of Mercedes’ dominance? Will there be rejuvenated hope for teams like Williams?
