Brent Faiyaz is an American singer-songwriter, born September 19 1995 in Baltimore Maryland. Faiyaz began his music career by joining Sonder, with producers Atu and Dpat. Together they released their first EP Into in 2016.
After leaving Sonder, Faiyaz started on his solo career and released his debut single ‘All I Want’ in 2016. This track quickly rose to the top and solidified Faiyaz as an artist to watch. Two years later he released his A.M Paradox EP, featuring the hit single ‘Gang Over Luv’.
Faiyaz released his debut album Sonder Son to much critical acclaim and established his unique sound and style. This release included singles such as ‘Missin Out’, ‘Talk 2 U’, and ‘Stay Down.’ His music can be described as an amalgamation of r&b and alternative sounds with lyrics revolving around love, heartbreak and self-discovery.
Faiyaz released his long-awaited second album Wasteland to critical acclaim in 2022 and received a positive public reaction, with singles such as ‘Rehab (Winter in Paris)’ and ‘Clouded’ hitting home. Wasteland quickly became an instant classic among both music industry professionals as well as casual listeners alike. It featured artists like Drake, Tyler The Creator, Alicia Keys and Tre Amani and Joony, among many others.
Faiyaz has also announced “Fuck the World; It’s a Wasteland” as his official album campaign slogan, to promote both the album, and the tour to support it.
This tour begins in Washington DC on July 16, 2023 and concludes in Los Angeles, California by September 15, 2023. Leeds hosts a UK their show on October 16, 2023 before his UK appearances conclude in London on October 25, 2023, while European performances take place between Utrecht (Netherlands) and Paris France with stops spanning between November 1, 2023 to November 19, 2023 respectively.
